Lonn Bate has fifteen years of experience in the energy industry, where he has worked in financial reporting and treasury/finance roles. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995 when employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers. His six plus years of experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers consisted primarily of providing assurance related services to clients in the energy industry and included a 16-month secondment to Russia. Since leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Bate has worked in increasing managerial capacities for TransCanada PipeLines, Suncor Energy Inc. and Shell Canada Limited. Prior to joining Richards Oil & Gas, he held the position of Director of Financial Reporting and Treasurer at Viking Energy Royalty Trust, where he was involved in all aspects of financial management and, in 2005, played a key role in Viking's completion of three corporate acquisitions.
